11:30am Back in the office after what feels like a lifetime away at Insomnia! I took this morning off to recoup a little, and caught the latest Game of Thrones (no spoilers, don’t worry!).
Insomnia was incredible! Absolutely shattering, but incredible. We got tons of positive reactions to the game, and I think we earned ourselves quite a few new fans which is amazing. The game was 98% stable, running really smoothly 90% of the time, and we only saw about 3 or 4 major or above bugs, though I have made a note of ~50 minor bugs in total. I know that after this latest round of bug fixing though that the game will be in a really good place.
On top of that, we made some new friends, new contacts and generally feel super hyped and motivated to complete the final furlong in the race to launch now!
This morning I’m going to reply to some emails, LinkedIn messages, and start writing up all of the issues I jotted down at Insomnia into GitLab.
Bugs are all written, I have quite a few to get through lol, but it’s all good. I’m going to take a long lunch break now and might even take the rest of the day off, we’ll see.
I’m back in the office for a little bit just to make a little progress on the bug pool.
Did just a little bit of work tonight, started on the most complicated issue of the bunch – refining and polishing the player movement code so that it simply cannot break (or at least is 99% robust…it’s currently about 85% robust).
Will be back tomorrow to hit this bug pool hard!
