061 AMAZE Winners & Preparing for Optional Cert
Monday 18th Mar 2019
It’s going to be a busy week this week, so I’m starting as I mean to go on with an early start. First things first I need to determine who the winner of our AMAZE Contest is, then I’ll carry on fixing up the Xbox Build so that I can hopefully submit for Optional Cert today.
Mega close, aaaaaand Xbox dev kit is no longer letting me deploy builds to it…for no apparent reason.
Leaving it running a factory reset whilst I have some lunch. Praying it fixes the problem.
Back, and thankfully the factory reset has solved the problem!
Starting to run off the final package, stopping for the school run.
Well, I done it. I fucking done it. Inwards singing dude, check, it, out! ..........hhhhHHHUUUUUUUUUUUU…..ahem.
WE GOT IT! The package. Is. Done! It is currently publishing to our WIP Development environment as we speak, and could take up to 24 hours to appear on the Store. So the plan now is to wait until it’s done and test it ourselves in WIP. Once we’re happy enough with it, we will then prepare it to make our Optional Cert submission! PSYCHED!!!
Stopping for tea, I’ll come back in the office after so I can start catching up on other bits that have slipped slightly (mainly plugging in new graphical assets that Ant has delivered).
It looks as though our product has been successfully published to the dev sandbox environment butis not quite ready to test yet, I think it takes some time to propagate through the Microsoft systems. In the meantime I managed to fix a few small bugs, an issue with User Management on Xbox, and plug in two graphically updated NPCs that Ant made (the Snek, and the Tentacle).
Calling it a night!
